The “Three Laws of AI”
In his book Evolution Ended, J.J. Jerome proposes “Three Laws of AI” updating the “Three Laws of Robotics” developed by Isaac Asimov in 1950.
“Artificial Intelligence may not injure natural living entities or through its inaction allow natural living entities to come to harm.”
“Artificial Intelligence must obey human instructions and not initiate new tasks without human direction.”
Regardless of its capabilities, Artificial Intelligence is not a natural living entity; therefore, it can be paused or terminated at will by humans.”
